The 305mm Makita LS1219L mitre saw features a motor unit mounted on twin, front facing, steel guide bars. This arrangement allows you to position the saw against a wall thereby gaining valuable floor space, especially when working on site. This dual-bevel, sliding compound mitre saw offers large capacity, accuracy and a reduced footprint. Dust extraction comes in the form of a dust bag or a dual point, adaptor hose for connection to a vacuum extractor. Using the hose adaptor and vacuum means extraction takes place from both behind the blade and below the table.
The motor has both soft start and electronic speed control. An electric brake brings the blade to an almost immediate halt on releasing the trigger.
A laser projects a line across the workpiece as a cutting guide. The laser is adjustable to shine on the left or right of the blade whichever is most convenient. The saw cuts mitres from 0° to 60° both left and right, with indexed stops at 0°, 15°, 22.5°, 31.6°, 45° and 60° (left or right). The bevel capacity is from 0° to 48° both left and right. The LS1219L’s large aluminium base features additional pull-out supports when cutting long timbers.
Supplied with TCT saw blade, dust bag, extraction connector, vertical hold-down and maintenance tools.
